Kathmandu: Amid political instability, a visiting Chinese delegation has met President Vidyadevi Bhandari at Shital Niwas and then they met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in Baluwatar Sunday evenning. The Chinese team, which landed in Kathmandu on an Air China chartered flight on Sunday afternoon, will hold consultations with the President, Prime Minister and other top leaders of the CPN on the ongoing dispute and political instability, according to a high-ranking source. The Chinese team has arrived in Kathmandu for discussions and dialogue as the CPN dispute is deepening and its impact on national politics.
A four-member delegation led by Kuo Yechau, Deputy Minister of the International Department of the Chinese Communist Party, arrived in Kathmandu at around 1.30 pm on Sunday. It is understood that the team arrived in Kathmandu with a message from Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Earlier, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Hou Yangchi had met CPN leaders Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, Krishna Bahadur Mahara and others. Tomorrow they will meet with Prachanda and Madav Nepal.
