Kathmandu, June 17: A total of 2,535 vehicles were tracked and fined over the past 24 hours for violating traffic rules.
The Kathmandu Traffic Police Office said that revenue of over Rs 1.9 million has been deposited into the state treasury.
The violations include 101 incidents of drunk-driving, 129 of ride- sharing against the rules, 106 of traffic signal violations and 138 incidents of over-speeding, informed the Kathmandu Traffic Police Office.
Likewise, 81 cases were recorded for breaching lane discipline, 141 for honking in prohibited areas, 117 for parking on roadsides, 113 for violating one-way traffic rules and 1,609 other violations.
