Chairman, National Assembly of Nepal Timilsina gives Away Pakistan Embassy Scholarships
Pakistan’s Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi expressed his resolve and desire to further expand the scholarship programme and strengthening Pakistan-Nepal bilateral relations.
Kathmandu.Today, 11thAnnual Scholarship Award Ceremony was organized by Embassy of Pakistan at Marriott Hotel, Kathmandu. Mr. Ganesh Prasad Timilsina Chairman, National Assembly of Nepal gave away “Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarships” to 198 Nepali students. The scholarships are awarded to deserving/ bright students of government schools selected by the respective Principals from across Nepal. This year 198 students from 43 schools were awarded including one laptop to the Best Student.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Timilsina lauded Pakistan for its continued support and advancing people-to-people contacts between the two countries especially in the field of education. This, he said, was a reflection of the close friendly ties between Pakistan and Nepal. He expressed appreciation for the Embassy’s efforts which, he said, had gone a long way in bringing the youth of the two countries closer.

Ambassador of Pakistan scholarship programme, started in 2013, has been growing over the years and has become popular among Nepali youth.
