At least 10 people were killed and several others injured Friday after a mini-bus carrying them fell into a deep gorge in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, state-run broadcaster All India Radio (AIR) said.
The victims, hailing from the neighboring state of Kerala, were on a leisure trip in Tamil Nadu. According to AIR, 16 people from Kerala were in the van when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident was not immediately known. Police have registered a case and ordered an investigation into the accident.
