Kathmandu, April 25: The Weather Forecasting Division has indicated cloudy weather in various parts of the country with chances of rain and thunderstorms in some areas.
At present, the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces are generally cloudy while other hilly and mountainous areas are partially cloudy.
The weather is mainly clear in the Terai region. Moderate rain and snowfall are occurring in some areas of these provinces.
This afternoon the hilly and mountainous areas of the country will generally be cloudy, and the Terai region will be partly cloudy, the Division stated.
There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
Likewise, the Terai region of Madhesh along with Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and some locations of the hilly and mountainous areas of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces are likely to receive moderate rain with thunders.
Similarly, tonight, the mountainous areas of the country will generally be cloudy while the hilly and Terai regions will be partly cloudy.
There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall in some hilly locations of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
The temperature is appeared to be gradually increasing in most parts of the country.
In view of possible rise in temperature in temperature in the Terai, valleys and troughs of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim provinces, the Division has urged the general public to remain alert.
