KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel has promulgated the Cooperative (First Amendment) Ordinance, 2083.
According to Presidential Office spokesperson Ritesh Kumar Shakya, the ordinance was issued on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers in accordance with Article 114 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal.
A statement from the President’s Office noted that President Paudel issued the ordinance on Thursday.
Earlier, the government had recommended six ordinances for approval. However, President Paudel has issued only the ordinance related to cooperatives so far.
