Kathmandu, May 1: National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal has extended best wishes to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of the 137th International Workers’ Day and the Kirant Community’s Ubhauli Parva today.
In his message, Dahal stated that may this Ubhauli Parva inspire all Nepalis to conserve and promote nature, adding that this festival has played a vital role in the promotion of our unique cultures and traditions. “Diversity is our identity and strength. Unity within diversity is the identity of we Nepalis,” he stated.
In his message on the occasion of International Workers’ Day, he said the state should implement provisions of social security for workers, insurance and other welfare services through policy interventions.
Dahal has also recalled the contributions and sacrifices made by Nepali workers during the movements and armed struggles happened at different times.
