Kathmandu, May 26: Action has been recommended against 10 security personnel, including a Superintendent of Police, over the incident of the death of a detainee under police custody of Area Police Office, Khurkot, in Sindhuli.
A probe committee formed under the coordination of Deputy Inspector General Dinesh Kumar Acharya to investigate the case of death of Srikrishna BK, 23, of Sunkoshi rural municipality-3 in Sindhuli, recommended action against them.
According to Central Police News Room, the committee has recommended reprimanding a police personnel, drawing attention of two police personnel, relieving five police personnel from responsibility with warning, counseling one police person and demoting one police person.
The Committee has also made recommendations to work with highest priority for the safety of the lives of persons in custody, while fully implementing the Custody Management Operational Guidelines, 2081 BS.
