Kathmandu, May 31: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has viewed that Britain should also show concern in the way problem has arisen with regard to Nepali territory of Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura.
PM Shah said so while responding to queries raised by lawmakers in the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today.
In response to CPN (UML)’s lawmaker Padma Aryal’s query about the government’s initiatives in the context that India and China implementing their agreement to turn Nepali territory Lipulekh into cross-border trading point, PM Shah said that Nepal has already sent diplomatic note to India on this and that Nepal also got response from India wherein it is stated that the issues should be resolved through table talks of historian, surveyors and experts as well.
“In this regard, we have also talked with Britain, not only with India and China. The problem they left here while leaving British India is still here. So our understanding is that Britain should also show concern in this issue,” said PM Shah.
