The bodies of four people who died in an avalanche in Badakhshan province, north of Afghanistan, were recovered on Wednesday, provincial police spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar said.
The ill-fated individuals were killed in an avalanche in Raghistan district three days ago, the official said, adding their bodies were found on Wednesday and handed over to their families.
Kamgar did not provide more details.
Parts of Afghanistan, including Badakhshan, received heavy rain, flooding as well as snowfall over the past couple of weeks, which ended recently.
