Jaleshwor (Mahottari), April 26: Jaleshwor has been submerged following a rainfall accompanied by hailstorm this afternoon.
Due to the lack of a proper drainage system, the rainwater has accumulated in a way to inundate various settlements in the district headquarters.
The inundation hit Nagarpalika Chowk, Shanker Chowk, Meena Bazar, Mahendra Chowk, Hospital Chowk, Khaira Chowk and Hospital Chowk, causing pedestrians sheer inconvenience to walk along the roadways. Even vehicles are finding it hard to wade through the flooded roadways.
Water has accumulated in the premises of both government and non-government offices. Even normal rainfall leads to inundation in the district headquarters, signaling urgency of effective drainage system for long.
