Israeli airstrikes and drone attacks on southern Lebanon from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning killed three people and injured several others, according to Lebanese official media.

The National News Agency reported that two people were killed and another was injured in an airstrike on the town of Deir Kifa in the Bint Jbeil district.

At dawn, an Israeli drone struck paramedics from the Islamic Health Organization in Deir Kifa, injuring three medics who were taken to local hospitals. In a separate strike, one person was killed in the town of Aadchit in the Nabatieh district.

Overnight raids also caused heavy damage to Borj Qalaouiyeh Public School in Braachit and Qalaouiyeh.

Meanwhile, Hezbollah announced retaliatory attacks against Israeli forces, including artillery fire on military vehicles in the Wadi al-Jamal area and a drone strike on Israeli troops gathered at the al-Sallaa hill in the town of Qantara.

The clashes occurred despite a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon that took effect on April 16.
