Deukhuri (Dang), June 13: A construction worker was fatally buried by a pile of sand dumped by an excavator at a construction site.
The deceased has been identified as Lalmani Yadav, 45, who was hired for the construction of Deukhuri Kalakate-Sikta Postal Highway in Gadhawa Rural Municipality-2, according to the Area Police Office, Gadhawa.
Preliminary reports indicate that the excavator operator, unaware of the presence of a worker in the vicinity, had unloaded the sand as part of the construction works. He has been taken into police custody for further investigation into the case.
