Kathmandu, June 14: The current weather conditions in the country are influenced by a westerly low pressure line, resulting in varying degrees of cloudiness and precipitation across different regions.
The Weather Forecast Division reports that areas such as Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and the hilly parts of Sudurpashchim Province are generally cloudy, while Madhesh province is experiencing partial changes and the Terai region of Sudurpashchim remains mostly clear.
Light to moderate rain is occurring in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki regions, with expectations of continued cloudiness in the hilly areas, particularly in Koshi Province.
The forecast indicates a likelihood of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in certain areas of Koshi, as well as in the Himalayan and hilly regions. Additionally, light snowfall is anticipated in the high Himalayan areas.
The Terai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki, along with some areas in Madhesh province, may also experience moderate rain and thunderstorms.
As the evening approaches, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the areas will likely be clear. The public is advised to take precautions due to the potential impacts of thunderstorms, lightning, and rain.
