Kathmandu, May 26: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has said that the government is committed to bringing real and tangible progress in the lives of the people.

At a joint meeting with EU Ambassadors, PM Shah said that he has a deep realization of the responsibility handed over to him by people and also that of the need of the time.

According to Deepa Dahal, press and research expert to PM Shah, the PM made it clear that there will be continuity of policy although a new government was in place following the March 5 election that gave a decisive mandate for good governance and inclusive economic prosperity.

“To be new does not mean to detach totally from the past. While ensuring Nepal’s policy orientation clear, stable and predictable, we are fully committed to maintain political stability and preservation of democratic norms and values,” PM’s secretariat quoted the PM as saying in the meeting with the EU Ambassadors.
