Kathmandu, May 27: A proposal seeking consideration on ‘House of Representatives Member Election (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’ was tabled in the National Assembly meeting today.
The proposal on the bill presented by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Shobita Gautam, on behalf of the Prime Minister was endorsed unanimously. The Minister also tabled a proposal, seeking consideration on ‘Voters’ List (First Amendment), 2083′.
Lawmakers Suresh Alemagar, Padam Bahadur Pariyar and Khamba Bahadur Khati took part in the theoretical discussion on the bills.
In response to lawmakers’ queries, Minister Gautam said the government was serious on issues of people living with disabilities and those from backward region. The National Assembly will meet next on 5:45pm coming Friday.
