Kathmandu, June 1: The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has stressed that the border dispute between Nepal and India should be resolved through diplomatic means.

The party emphasized that a national consensus should be forged on matters of national interest and diplomatic dialogue with India should be advanced based on facts.

Party spokesperson Prakash Jwala stated in a press release today that any expression contrary to national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and established historical facts would be unacceptable.

The NCP’s this view is response to certain issues raised by Prime Minister Balendra Shah while responding to lawmakers’ queries in the House of Representatives on Sunday.
