PMO rescues Nepali worker from Saudi Arabia

Kathmandu, June 3: Kailash Adhikari, who was stranded in Saudi Arabia, has been rescued and repatriated to Nepal today.

Dipa Dahal, the press and research officer of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, said that Kailash, a Nepali passport holder who was facing difficulties due to not receiving the salary and benefits according to the contract, was rescued within 12 hours of the complaint being received at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

On Tuesday, Kailash’s miserable condition, lack of safe housing, and labor exploitation were shared through a Facebook account named Shivantaraj Adhikari.

It is stated that currently, Kailash is being provided with the necessary counseling, support, and protection.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, a detailed investigation of the incident is said to be underway immediately after Kailash Adhikari returned to Nepal.
