Kathmandu, June 3: President of the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane held a meeting with Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in New Delhi today.
“Delighted to meet the Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party of Nepal Mr. Rabi Lamichhane. I welcome and fully share his desire to work closely together for a shared and prosperous future,” Indian PM Modi stated in his social media account.
Nepal is a priority partner under our Neighbourhood First policy and we look forward to collaborating with the new government to elevate the special and multifaceted relationship between our two countries to greater heights, PM Modi added.
President Lamichhane is on a five-day visit to India in the invitation of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). On Tuesday, Lamichhane had held talks with BJP president Nitin Nabin and External Affairs Minister of India, S. Jaishankar.
