Eight Drug Users Apprehended in Parsa

Birgunj. Parsa Police have arrested eight drug users in two days as part of a campaign to search for drug users. Police conducted the campaign on Friday and today as part of the drug user search and reform campaign.

District Police Office Spokesperson Haribahadur Basnet informed that eight people were arrested along with drugs hidden while coming from India to Nepal at the checkpoint at Shankharacharya Gate in Birgunj Metropolitan City-16.

He said that after arresting eight people who came from India’s Raxaul by foot and vehicle, with drugs like brown heroin and tablets, they have been arrested and are being investigated with a five-day remand extended from the District Court Parsa. According to him, Bikashkumar Sah, whose address is unknown, was found with 600 milligrams of brown heroin.

600 milligrams of brown heroin was recovered from Kavin Parajuli, while a small amount of brown heroin, banned tablets, and other drugs were recovered from Sagar Ghimire, Pooja Jimba, Anjan Thapa, Ramesh Bamjan, Raju Baniyan, and Alihadan Miyan.

Police said that a motorcycle with the number Madhesh Province 03-028 Pa 7656 was recovered from the drug users.
